10 Addictive and Fun Solitaire Variations

Klondike, Casino Klondike, Carpet, Eight Off, Golf, Montana, Poker Square, Pyramid, Spiderette, and Towers. We've picked 10 of the best solitaire variations with some adjustments to make them even better games.

Smooth Animation

We've designed our game so that the faster your Palm is the smoother the animation will be. But if you have an older Palm Eric Snider's Solitaire will still animate quickly. Cards move in fluid arcs and glide into position. When you undo or redo your moves you'll see the cards fly to their mark. And of course if you'd rather the cards weren't animated you can always turn this option off in the preferences.

Customizable Backgrounds

Choose from 10 background patterns, your choice of solid color backgrounds, or create a custom blend between two colors of your choosing. Try a gradient that blends between red and yellow for a sunset effect.

Detailed Statistics

Whether you're trying to beat your 20 game winning streak or just trying to improve your average score Eric Snider's Solitaire keeps track of everything for you. Just tap the score onscreen to see your statistics quickly.

Solitaire Preferences

Safe Auto Play Up Turn this on to tell the game to play cards up to the Foundations when it's safe to do so. This allows you to concentrate on the challenging parts of each deal and let the game handle the clean-up for you.

Animate Cards - Leave this on to see the cards glide into position or turn it off for even speedier gameplay.

Show Playable Cards - This option tells the game to darken or lighten playable cards. This makes it easier to see what moves are available so you can concentrate on strategy rather than spending your time looking for cards. This is also a great feature to help you learn a new solitaire variation.

Show Stats After Game - Don't like to be reminded of how much you've been playing? Just turn this off to skip seeing your statistics after each game.

Show Score During Game - If you're not concerned with your score and are just interested in winning or losing use this option to hide your score.

Subtle Sound Effects

Each time you win or lose you'll hear a little song to mark the occasion. You'll also hear musical notes played as your score increases in each game.

Easy-to-use Interface and Built-in Instructions

Everything in Eric Snider's Solitaire is designed to be easy to do. We want to challenge you with compelling solitaire games, not a difficult user interface. Moving cards is as easy as a flick of your stylus. Just shove a card towards its destination and watch it go! You can also drag cards to where you want them or just tap and watch them slide into position. Everything is smooth and fast. Onscreen buttons make it easy to undo, start a new game, or get help. Just tap the "?" button to read the rules for the current game. Choose "Playing Tips" from the Options menu for basic help and cool shortcuts for easier play.

Unlimited Undo and Redo

Each move you make is stored so that you can undo as far as you like. If you change your mind you can redo all the way back to where you were. Whenever you exit Eric Snider's Solitaire your game and all your moves are saved. So you can continue exactly where you left off.
